[he's just blustering, though-- the fur on his ears and tails doesn't bristle, despite the way his fox ears flatten, so chuuya is annoyed rather than mad. his ears don't stay there for long, either, straightening back up as chuuya looks baren over intently.

so maybe he was a little worried, being separated when All Of That happened. the bells jingle as he steps closer.]

[the bluster unfortunately just manages to get baren to laugh then - openly. it's kind of a mean sound, because he's a mean person, but he is fond of chuuya and doesn't mind showing it through teasing.

[the alleyway is fine - though baren gives it a cursory glance over, as if double-checking that it's empty. once he seems to be content with the evaluation, he darts forward to briefly press a kiss to chuuya's forehead.

More than a few of us had the same dream - so nothing good, probably. Sky's falling, we're supposed to locate some hidden demons... We'll probably have to do a bit of work.

[the forehead kiss seems to get him to let go of some of the tension, at least, his tails waving contentedly at the attention-- though they droop a little as he exhales a sigh.]
