But what you said about spirits isn't correct. We are dead, but we aren't like Assassin. Assassin is the spirit of a man notorious by name in history. Even before we ... came here, he was a spirit, waiting for a chance to fight for the Holy Grail.

A magus would summon a spirit like that to do battle for them in the Holy Grail War, a ritual to grant the victor's utmost wish.

[At least, that's how the ritual is supposed to go. The wishes granted by that vessel would ultimately be different, in the nature of all the evils the world. Something tugs inside of her, and she ignores it.]

Assassin would have skills to facilitate killing, of course. Concealing his presence, disabling enemies.
